Restoration

This is the restoration of Cheetah No.29 expertly done by Marv and Clare. Although the Cheetah had been repaired in the past, these repairs did not last and a full restoration was required. The restoration started on the 8th December 2013.

 

 




 

   

     

193. Offside wall is on.

195. Wall boarding is cut to accommodate to locker door which is tried.

197. The walls are sealed to the metalwork with W4 Mastic.

198. Nearside is given a coat of protective paint at the bottom.

     

     

199. The kitchen wall is covered with tiles.

200. All this work means a lot of rubbish needs to be got rid of.

202. Onto the overhead cab. A new bed base.

204. One piece cab bed bases must be put into position before the overhead cab front wall is mounted.

 

   

     

205. Construction begins of the overhead cab roof.

206. As with all the other framing, wood

preservative is used.
